The 3rd Annual DevOps Connect: DevSecOps Edition @ RSA Conference is a two-day long series of events focusing on the intersection of security and DevOps.

The original inspiration of the event was to allow DevOps and Security practitioners to come together to talk about real world, enterprise level experiences on implementing automation and security into the Software Supply Chain.

DevSecOps allows not only the security industry, developers or operations people to rise to the challenge of software security, but the entire IT industry by creation of an automated Software Supply Chain and Software Lifecycle Management.

If you and your company are already deploying DevOps, DevSecOps, Agile and other technologies or if you are ready to investigate the advantages of DevSecOps and explore the benefits of an automated Software Supply Chain, but are not quite sure on where to get started or why, this event is for you.

This goals of this year’s event are:

  • Bring the best and brightest of the DevOps and InfoSec communities together
  • Share and codify effective patterns and practices, for mutual growth and benefit
  • For new-comers, demystify the DevOps foundational concepts that every InfoSec practitioner needs to know
  • Capture the failures and toughest problems facing our industry, and mobilize to solve them

DevSecOps @RSA Conference kicks off on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 10am. This year the event is being held at the Marriott Marquis, just around the corner from Moscone Center.

As part of RSA Conference, RSA registration is required. Any RSA badge will allow you admission, but you must be registered for the event. If you are already registered for RSA Conference, please go back and add DevSecOps to your itinerary.

RSA Conference is using a “Reserve-a-Seat” system this year. Even if you are already registered for RSA, you must reserve a seat for DevSecOps. To reserve your seat go here. The URL is https://www.rsaconference.com/events/us17/agenda/reserve-a-seat

If you are not already registered for RSA here is a code for a free expo pass, 1U7DEVOPSXP which will allow you to attend. You can register for free with this code here. However, you must indicate that you will be attending the DevSecOps event!

The day’s events culminate with the DevOps Wine-ing event at Jillian’s San Francisco that evening. This year will mark the 4thyear for the wine party and it has rapidly become the place where the DevOps and Security tribes intermingle in a relaxed, casual atmosphere. A separate registration is required for the Wine-ing party, but it is free. Registration for the wine-ing event is here.

The DevSecOps events continue on Tuesday, February 14th with a Lunch ‘n Learn scheduled for noon at Jillians, San Francisco. The topic of the luncheon is “Security @ the Speed of DevOps”. It is based on a report being released by DevOps.com and the Cloud Security Alliance at RSA Conference. The report is authored by renowned tech journalist George Hulme. George, DevOps.com founder, Alan Shimel and several industry leaders will discuss the key findings, as well as take questions from the audience. Lunch is included to all attendees and the event is also free! However, it is limited to 150 attendees and we anticipate it will fill up quickly, so please register now. Again a separate registration is required.

Hope to see you in San Francisco for DevSecOps!
